Up Sticks ("the app", "we", "us") helps you research suburbs in Australia. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. In short: Up Sticks does not require an account and does not collect personal information that identifies you.
Your searches, saved suburbs and work areas are stored locally on your device. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us or associated with your identity. Deleting the app removes this data.
When you run a search, the app uses Apple's mapping services (MapKit) to geocode locations and calculate travel times. Search terms and location coordinates are sent to Apple to return results. This processing is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or retain this information.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple — the app never sees or stores your payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchase data.
Up Sticks uses PostHog (hosted in the EU) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — such as which features and screens you use, how far you get through the setup wizard, and whether purchases succeed or fail — to understand how the app is used and improve it. This data is not linked to your identity, contains no personal information, and is not used to track you across other apps or websites. No advertising identifiers are collected. PostHog's own processing is covered by its privacy policy.
Up Sticks is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
